Hummingbird Stitchers sponsors several workshops each year.

Community Service:
The guild has provided quilts and fund raising projects for various
community services, charities, and non-profit organizations which have
included the American Heart Association, Habitat for Humanity, the
Comfort Bear Program, Care Net Crisis Center, Forgach House,
Hacienda Rehabilitation Center,  American Cancer Society and the ABC

Quilt Show:
The Hummingbird Stitchers Quilt Guild holds a quilt show to feature the
work of its members. Beginners and veteran quilt makers are
encouraged to show their work. The show is usually held when many of
our winter members are present to participate and help.

Membership in Hummingbird Stitchers Quilt Guild is open to anyone with
an interest in quilting. Visitors are invited to join the Guild. From the
beginner who has never chosen a design or fabric to the seasoned quilt
designer, all are welcome! Membership includes a monthly newsletter,
discounted workshops and monthly programs on a variety of subjects.
There is also the opportunity to work on various charity projects.

                           Re-Opening Plan

The big differences when we go back to work are that we need to abide by the
School District’s rules:

1.        Everyone needs to wear a mask
2.        Social distancing of 6 feet
3.        Sanitize your work area when you leave

When we set up the rooms for sewing, we need to be six feet apart; there
will be
marks on the tables where you can set a sewing machine.  Our cutting tables
and ironing boards will be the same.  If you come to dropoff/pickup you
need to be careful about the distance to others.

June 10:        REGULAR WEDNESDAY HOURS AGAIN!  Hurray!   8:30-

June 11:        Regular Thursday hours again:  8:30-2:30

From our practicing, it looks like we can fit in all the people who used to
work on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  If it turns out that more people want
to sew together than before, we’ll set up a way to sign up ahead (maybe on
Facebook Events).

We’ll try our best and, honestly, it will be wonderful just to see all of you
again.  I
didn’t know what a large hole in my life it would be to lose our working days
