What is a quilt challenge ?

The idea of a challenge quilt is to stretch guild members creativity. Guild members design and make a quilt around the annual Quilt Challenge theme. Members must follow the Quilt Challenge rules. The quilts are then displayed and the membership votes on their favorite quilts. Quilt challenge rules and theme are usually published during the first quarter of each year. Quilts are normally due, displayed and judged in November.

2021 Guidelines:

- Quilts must be blue and only blue. Small amounts of neutral colors may be used.
-Quilts can measure 12 inches wide by 18 inches long, 18 inches wide by 12 inches long or 15 inches square.
- Quilts can have an irregular shape.
- There is no subject requirements and you may use the quilting technique of your choice.
- Sign up to be part of the Challenge by 1 July 2021.
- Quilts will be due the first Program meeting in November 2021.
- Inspiration can be found in phrases, music, movies or more.
